Application:
– Melt flow index tester is a kind of instrument testing the melt flow rate of plastic polymer at high temperature based on GB3682-2000 test method. Used to measure the thermoplastic resin melt mass flow rate (MFR), melt volume flow rate (MVR).
– It is not only suitable for high melting temperature engineering plastics such as polycarbonate, polyarylsulfone, fluorine plastic and nylon but also suitable for some other low temperature plastic products which are made up of polyethylene(PE), polystyrene(PS), polypropylene(PP), ABS resin, and polyoxymethylene.
– It is widely used in the plastic production, petroleum and chemical industry and the scientific research institutes.
Applicable Standards:
– GB/T3682-2000: Measurement of mass flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastic melt under specified temperature and loading conditions.
– ISO1133-97: Macromolecular material – mass and volume flow rate detection.
– ASTM1238: The test method covers the flow rate measurement method of melt resin extrusion. It is measured regularly by a specified length and diameter die at precise temperatures, loads, and the position of the barrel in the barrel.
